ANTHRX

A video installation on the theme of the infectious anthrax disease. There is a projection of an experimental video where two conflicting forces, such as that of order and that of disorder, try to coexist. Anthrax is spread through bacterial spores, which are often found in contaminated animal products. Risk groups include people who work with animals or animal products, travelers, postal workers and military personnel. The above theme was the starting point for an open-ended creative collaboration, where starting from a common point, visual and archival material was collected, deconstructed and reconstructed.

A photograph by Angelos Kalogeridis depicting the area of Tabakika in the Siarava district in 1948, has been used in the video.

Video installation with projection on mirror.

Collaboration between Arurkokk and Viko_Chico.

Presented in the group exhibition entitled: Ever-changing skin transformations. At the Γ.Α.Κ. building. Ioannina, Greece. 7/2 – 27/3 2023.
