This is a short video made from footage I took during my two-week stay in April 2026, in the CASA BL8D residency in Florence.
Within my stay I chose to continue the ongoing artistic research under the title: “Encouraging pareidolic effects through Visual Arts. A balancing game between abstraction and representation”, that I started in 2023 while working on the “Pareidolic Palimpsests” exhibition I did back then in Spain, and the “Found paintings” edition I self-published.
The creative approach of visual arts acts as a methodology for the research, that explores the relation between seeing abstract forms and the subjective interpretation of them through the phenomenon of pareidolia and imagination, and focuses on its relationship with image making.
