Frog song

In the artwork “frog song” an analogue-digital dialogue unfolds, transforming the lake into a spectral optical field. The background of the composition consists of a print of a digitally processed photograph of lake Pamvotida, offering a visual point of reference to the lake while simultaneously suggesting our mediated relationship with the landscape through technology, and serves as a backdrop for the paintings —three paintings (oil on canvas) and one sketch on a recycled book cover— positioned in front of and around it. The photograph and the paintings share a common visual language through their abstract qualities, iconography, color palette, and atmospheric approach to the haunting presence of the lake.
The artwork was presented in the group exhibition “Whispers of the lake”, held at the Municipal Gallery of Ioannina, 04/07/2026 – 11/09/2026.
